I just got back from WinCo, a local chain of discount supermarkets. I have a 40 pound bucket full of honey. That's $123.50 of honey.
The meadmaking will start tomorrow!

Wow, that's... how much mead are you planning to make? Hope it turns out well... I don't hardly drink at all, but I've always wanted to try it.

Yes, it is a lot. 40 pounds is enough to make 10 gallons by the recipe I'm using, but it wound up being much more convenient to buy a 40 lbs, pre-packaged bucket and have left-overs than to buy 40 little half-pound containers. Those were the only two ways this particular store would sell their honey, and it was the best price I could find.
